Oftentimes when someone is getting started with Azure, they might get overwhelmed with everything that they would find on the portal.
For times like those, Azure Quickstart Centre comes to the rescue.
Azure Quickstart Centre in the Azure portal helps you decide which Azure services to use and it helps begin the work of your organizations and your applications fairly quickly.
This is what the Quickstart Center looks like in the Azure Portal. You can easily find it from the searchbox on the top.
You can see that the quickstart centre contains setup guides for various services – for Azure, Migration, innovation, etc. These guides contain all the best practices to help you onboard users and applications onto Azure.
It even lets you start a project.
And it directly points to various learning resources like online courses.
For example, the Azure setup guide helps you organize resources, implement monitoring and reporting, manage access and much much more.
You can also take immediate action right from the guide like going to the management groups.
This makes the guides very interactive for you.
Then there is the Azure Migration guide that walks you through migration checklists, various best practices and scenarios for your applications and users.
Then there is the Azure innovation guide that illustrates you how to innovate with Azure. It focuses on enhancing your applications with Azure features and AI, IoT, big data and more.
You can also start a project directly from the quickstart centre. For example, creating a web app. Here it will show you the most popular options to create a web app.
If you click on one of the options, it shows you more information, including an architectural reference map.
Clicking on taking an online course takes you to a tab where you can learn about Azure. You can pick from some featured online Azure courses. And guess what – these are free online courses from Microsoft.
That is it for this walkthrough of Azure Quickstart Centre.
